eFaucets.com Helps Outfit Goop Offices

eFaucets.com is proud to have contributed faucets and fixtures to the gorgeous remodel of an addition to the Goop offices in Santa Monica, California.

Goop is the company founded by actress Gwyneth Paltrow; what started in 2008 from her kitchen table as a lifestyle newsletter has grown into a full-fledged website where readers can find information about wellness, work/life balance, health, fitness, fashion and more. Goop is growing so much that they needed to expand their offices into a bungalow next door, and they asked our friend, Melanie Burstin, to  create an open and airy space for them.

We worked with Melanie on a number of projects while she was a part of former HGTV personality Emily Henderson’s company, stylebyemilyhenderson.com, including the complete remodel of Henderson’s new L.A. home. Melanie now works with Homepolish.com, a design service that matches clients with designers, contractors and project management.

When Melanie contacted eFaucets.com about partnering to makeover the new Goop bathrooms and a kitchenette, we said, “Yes!” immediately and contacted our friends at Moen and Kingston Brass to help bring Melanie’s vision to life.

In one bathroom, Moen’s Kingsley collection in polished brass brought the room up-to-date without making it look trendy. Melanie specifically requested the single-hole faucet, toilet paper holder and towel ring to complement this Ronbow vanity with ceramic, white top.

“The building itself is very rustic, so I wanted to avoid bringing in anything else that felt too far in that style,” Melanie told Vogue Magazine.

Both bathrooms are also quite small, she noted when we talked about faucet and fixture options, so introducing storage options without taking up a lot of space was key. The vanity is just 24 inches wide and  22 inches deep, perfect for tucking into the corner with room left for the commode.

In the second bathroom, Melanie also chose polished brass, this time with a distinctly classic turn. Kingston Brass’ Victorian collectiond – the mini-widespread faucet, towel bar and toilet paper holder – are designed to evoke a sense of the past while staying firmly rooted in the present.

Melanie’s use of timeless design elements continued into the kitchenette where Goop staffers often gather for coffee and grabbing healthy pick-me-ups throughout the day.

In addition to Kohler’s Cruette kitchen faucet with pull-down sprayer in oil-rubbed bronze, Melanie chose a classic, white Blanco Silgranit kitchen sink. The faucet is made to deliver a strong spray while only using 1.8 gallons per minute, which is required under California law, and the sink is constructed of superior scratch and dent resistant material so its good looks last for years.
