Lindsay Eidahl’s kitchen up-do on a budget took a few weeks longer than she anticipated, but the results were well worth the wait.
After posting specific “before & after” photos and descriptions of each step of her kitchen transformation, she finally gave her fans – including eFaucets! – the full reveal.
“Even though I missed my goal of getting this posted at the end of January, I have never been more excited to get a post done. The process was very long, but it was worth the wait,” she wrote.
Eidahl is the creative force behind DIY website, mycreativedays.com, and we met her through our friend Larissa Haynes at Prodigal Pieces because Eidahl was looking for help choosing new fixtures for her kitchen remodel project.
“When I was thinking about my favorite parts of this makeover, I had to start with our new Kraus sink and faucet from eFaucets. Who knew a new sink and faucet could make your life more enjoyable,” she said.
Eidahl chose the Kraus KHU100-32 Professional Kraus 32 Inch Undermount Single Bowl 16 Gauge Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink and the Kraus KPF-2110 Professional Kraus Single Lever Stainless Steel Pull Out Kitchen Faucet, and she’s happy she did.
Not only can she load dishes and the pots and pans she uses for meal prep into the sink with room to spare, Eidahl loves her pull-out spray faucet because clean-up is a snap.
“With a bigger sink, you need a pull-out faucet to reach all the food and things that get stuck in the corners of the sink,” she added. “The faucet can reach the corners and spray all the yucky stuff down to the “basket” to collect it all.”
In addition to replacing her kitchen sink and faucet, Eidahl implemented these budget-friendly fixes:
- Painted instead of replaced her cabinets;
- Added hard-working and maintenance-free quartz countertops;
- Gave the kitchen island some character with inexpensive beadboard;
- Put in new laminate flooring;
- Added a stone backsplash; and
- Created more counter space by removing the cabinet and half-wall next to the stove.
“We had many different projects involved in this Do It Yourself Kitchen Makeover. Each step taught us something new and we were excited to try a couple of things we’ve never done before in the process,” she stated.
